The 4-Book Series

Felipe and his floppy stuffed elephant Macio travel together — one city per book, real route, real story.

BASED ON A TRUE STORY

A real trip. A real family. A real elephant named Macio.

In March 2025, our family took a Spring Break trip across Europe. Our 9-year-old son Felipe brought his very best friend — Macio, a floppy gray stuffed elephant — on every flight, every train, and every walk through every city.

What started as photos in a camera roll became a 4-book illustrated travel adventure for kids ages 6–12. Every place, every meal, every “wait, look at that!” really happened.

About Five Explorers Press

Five Explorers Press is a family-run children’s book publisher based in Phoenix, Arizona. The name comes from our five-person family — two parents and three kids. Every book in our series is based on something we actually did together, told in a way kids ages 6–12 can read on their own or share with a grown-up at bedtime.

We believe travel is the best classroom, and that every journey — whether halfway around the world or just down the road — is an adventure worth telling.
